The compliment that I receive most often is that my wildlife paintings seem to capture the distinct personality of each animal, whether it's a monkey or a grizzly bear or a tiny red-eyed tree frog. Because I have had so many requests through the years, I will occasionally break my tradition of painting only wild animals and create a special pet portrait for a client . The first person to convince me to do this was tennis great Martina Navratilova who commissioned me to paint her five dogs and her cat. These special portraits are tremendously rewarding, because of the joy that they bring to my clients who truly love their pets. If you would like to have a portrait of your pet, whether it is still tiny, full grown, or has already passed away, I would be pleased to create a painting that will be a special remembrance for years to come.
