Jessica is a very special hippo. Just hours after her birth in 2000, she was swept away from her mother by devistating flood waters near Hoedspruit, South Africa. Game ranger, Tonie Joubert and his wife Shirley happened upon the traumatized little calf and took her into their home to nurse her back to health. After more than 11 years, Jessica remains a huge (pardon the pun) part of Tonie and Shirley's lives. Caring for Jessica is an extremely expensive endeavor, though, so I have created a high quality poster which is available for sale worldwide to help raise funds for her food and veterinary bills**
**In the spirit of helping animals everywhere, some of the procedes from the sale of this poster will also go to the Nippon SPCA in their ongoing efforts to help animals that were injured in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
